Quickly and Easily Verify Your TRN (Tax Registration Number)
May 1, 2024

Verifying your Tax Registration Number (TRN) is essential for maintaining compliance with tax regulations, issuing VAT invoices, claiming input tax credits, and communicating with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). This guide and the video below will walk you through verifying your TRN on the FTA Portal in a few simple steps.

Follow these steps to quickly and easily verify your TRN using the FTA portal:

  • Step 1: Access the FTA Portal

Click here to visit the official FTA Portal. (https://tax.gov.ae/en/)

  • Step 2: Locate the TRN Verification Tool:

Once you’re on the Dashboard, look at the vertical list of options on the far right side. Find and click the “TRN” button.

  • Step 3: Enter Your TRN and Code

After clicking the “TRN” button, you’ll be prompted to enter your TRN along with a security code (usually a CAPTCHA) provided on the screen. Double-check your TRN for accuracy before proceeding.

  • Step 4: Submit and Confirm

Once you’ve entered the correct TRN and verification code, click the “Submit” button. The portal will instantly display your TRN verification results immediately.

Confirmation: If the TRN is valid, you’ll see your company name displayed beside the TRN number, confirming a successful verification.

And that’s it! You have successfully verified your TRN. This quick process ensures you’re on track with your tax compliance requirements and can confidently issue VAT invoices and claim input tax credits.

If you encounter any issues during this process, consider checking your internet connection or ensuring the details you’ve entered are correct.
