How to Create an eServices Account on the FTA - EmaraTax Portal
February 13, 2024

The FTA has streamlined its services by implementing an efficient and user-friendly online tax platform, the EmaraTax portal to replace the existing UAE FTA portal. The aim of EmaraTax is to provide an integrated e-services platform for all federal tax procedures making tax compliance easier for taxpayers in line with FTA’s mandate.

Creating an account on the FTA eServices portal is a straightforward process that enables users to manage their tax obligations conveniently.

Here’s a five-step guide to help you set up your FTA eServices portal account:

  • Step 1: Accessing the EmaraTax Portal

Begin by navigating to the EmaraTax portal through the designated web address. You can do this by clicking here: www.eservices.tax.gov.ae

Alternatively, you can use UAE Pass for authentication if you have it set up.

  • Step 2: User Registration

Initiate the account creation process by clicking on the ‘Sign Up‘ button located in the top-left corner of the portal’s homepage.

This step prompts you to provide relevant information such as a valid e-mail address, password, first and last name (in both English and Arabic), mobile number and a Security code as shown in the image below:

Ensure the accuracy of the provided details and agree to the FTA’s terms and conditions before clicking on the ‘continue‘ tab.

  • Step 3: Verify Your Identity

Following the submission of your information and the setup of your login credentials, you may need to undergo an identity verification process. This typically involves confirming your email address or mobile number by entering a verification code sent to you via email or SMS.

Adhere to the instructions provided to complete the verification within 24 hours to avoid repeating the signup process.

  • Step 4: Confirmation

Upon successful registration, you should receive a confirmation message to your email address indicating the successful creation of your FTA eServices account. The email will also contain a link to access the portal.

  • Step 5: Logging into Your eServices Account

You can now proceed to log in to your account for the first time using the provided link in your registered email address. Enter your registered username and password you created as well as the security code provided to access the portal.
