How to Reset Your eServices Account Password for EmaraTax Login

If you already have an account with the FTA, your login information has been seamlessly transferred to EmaraTax. To access EmaraTax for the first time using your migrated FTA details, you will need to create a new password.

The specific method for password reset depends on whether you can access the email address associated with your FTA account.

This guide offers comprehensive instructions to resetting your password:

  1. Visit the portal:

    To begin, navigate to: www.eservices.tax.gov.ae Once there, locate “Are you an existing eServices user?” section at the top of the page.

  2. Password Reset Process:

    Under this section, click on the link labelled “Please reset your password here.” This action will initiate the password reset process, ensuring a secure login experience.

  3. There are two scenarios which will determine the appropriate method for resetting your password:

Scenario 1 -Access to Registered Email

If you already have an existing account and still have access to your registered valid email address, follow these steps:

  • Step1: Locate the password reset prompt:

Find the banner at the top labelled “Are you an existing eServices user?” and click on “Please reset your password here” below it.

  • Step 2: Enter your email and security code:

Input your registered email address and the security code displayed on the screen. Click “Continue” to proceed.

  • Step 3: Check your email for instructions:

You’ll receive an email containing a temporary one-time password and an activation link.

  • Step 4: Activate your account and Set a new password:

Click on the activation link and log in using the temporary password. You’ll then be prompted to create a new, strong password for your account.

Scenario 2: No Access to Registered Email Address

If you can’t access your registered email, consider these following options:

Option A: Change your Registered Email Address

  • Follow Steps 1 and 2 mentioned in Scenario 1
  • Step 2: Choose ‘Change Email Address’ on the password reset page.

  • Step 3: Select the ‘eServices password” option for verification.
  • Step 4: Enter your existing email address and password.

Key in your registered email address, eServices password and security code then click on ‘Verify’.

  • Step 5: Once verified, you’ll be prompted to change your email address.
  • Step 6: Check in your new email address for an OTP, enter it, and click ‘Verify’.
  • Step 7: You will receive a confirmation to your new email address along with a temporary password and an activation link.

Click on the activation link and log in using the temporary password. You’ll then be prompted to create a new, strong password for your account.

Option B: Linked Mobile Number to the Account

  • Follow steps 1 and 2 from Option A.
  • Step 2: Choose ‘Change Email Address’ on the password reset page.
  • Step 3: Enter your registered mobile number and the security code.
  • Step 4: Choosing the verification method.

Please select the ‘eServices registered mobile number” option.

  • Step 5: Provide your current eServices email address and click on verify as shown in the figure above.

Proceed with the verification process by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number and click “Verify OTP”.

Upon successful verification of the OTP, you will be directed to change your email address.

  • Step 6: A change email address confirmation to your new email address along with a temporary password and an activation link.

Click on the activation link and log in using the temporary password. You’ll then be prompted to create a new, strong password for your account.

Option C: Contact FTA Call Center

If you can neither access your registered email account nor your mobile number, the only solution viable will be to contact the FTA Call Center.

  • Dial 800 82923 – the FTA Call Center
  • Explain your situation to the customer service representative.
  • Provide any necessary information to verify your identity.
  • Follow the instructions provided by the representative to reset your password.

Additional Tips:

  • Create a strong password: Use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using personal information like your birthday or name.
  • Enable two-factor authentication: This adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your phone or email in addition to your password when logging in.
  • Keep your contact information updated for future assistance.

By following these steps, you can smoothly reset your eServices account password and access your EmaraTax account. Remember, if you encounter any difficulties, the FTA call center is available to assist you.
